During the seminar, participants will gain insight into Bellastock’s method of “reuse”. Setting out from the idea that new projects can be initiated from the demolition of a building, the seminar will explore tools that can be used to analyse the built environment and its materials, suggest intelligent ways to interact with diverse demolition stakeholders and find new strategies to deconstruct buildings while preserving material at its best!

Participatns will visit a building undergoing a demolition operation, find material that could be reused to finally compile a “catalogue” of reusing ideas.

Antoine Aubinais is an architect graduated from Paris Belleville Architecture School in 2010,he co-founded Bellastock in 2006 and was its president until 2012.

Bellastock’s activity is deliberately turned towards the establishment of original, ecological and economic alternatives to the act of building. For this, they lead a work of research-action: by proposing concrete methods applied to the problematic of the cycles of matter while placing the social aspect in the center of the project.
